Where can I get Knight Rise?
Knight Rise is on Google Play and the App Store. Search "Knight Rise" on your device, or use the store buttons in the header.
Does Knight Rise require an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no profile. You open the app and you are in. Online friend play is opt-in and may use Game Center or a lichess account you choose to link.
What is Game Review?
Import a finished game by PGN, paste a game link (a lichess game URL works), or pick a recent game. The on-device engine grades every move from Best to Blunder, scores accuracy for each side, shows the best move on the board, and gives plain-language coaching. Reviewing your own games is free.
How can I play a friend?
Send a game through any messenger with Play by Link (it works iPhone to Android), take turns through Game Center, go live through a linked lichess account, pair up over local Wi-Fi, or play inside an iMessage thread. All friend play is free.
Does it work without internet?
Single-player against the engine, study, board scanning, puzzles, and local-Wi-Fi play all work fully offline. The engine is a native Rust binary compiled into the app and runs on your device. Online friend play and importing a game by link use the network you choose.
How does local multiplayer work?
Knight Rise uses encrypted peer-to-peer connections via the open-source ConnectionPool library from StealthOS. Peers connect directly over the local network · no matchmaker, no game server.
Will Pro auto-renew?
Yes, like every App Store or Google Play subscription. You can cancel any time from Subscriptions on your device.
