Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using Knight Rise · keep it short, use it for chess, follow the App Store and Google Play distribution rules.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Knight Rise ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

2. License

Olib AI grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on iOS or Android devices you own or control, subject to the App Store and Google Play terms.

3. Purchases, Subscriptions & EULA

Analysis Unlock: The Analysis tier is a one-time in-app purchase of $0.99 USD that permanently unlocks coach annotations, plain-language move explanations, and unlimited deep analysis on your device.

Pro Subscriptions (Auto-Renewable): The Pro tier offers advanced features (including the board scanner vision pipeline and browser/share extensions) on a subscription basis:

  • Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly at $2.99 USD. Includes a 3-day free trial.
  • Annual Subscription: Billed annually at $24.99 USD. Includes a 1-week free trial.

Lifetime Pro Pass: Billed as a one-time purchase of $99.99 USD, providing lifetime access to all Pro features with no recurring charges.

Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal:

  • Payment & Billing: Subscription payments are charged to your App Store (Apple ID) or Google Play account at the confirmation of your purchase.
  • Automatic Renewal: Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless you cancel your subscription or disable auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period at the then-current price ($2.99/month or $24.99/year).
  • Free Trial Forfeiture: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
  • Subscription Management: You can manage your subscriptions, cancel billing, or turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your App Store or Google Play Account Settings after purchase.

EULA (End User License Agreement): Your use of the Knight Rise mobile application on Apple iOS or iPadOS devices is subject to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which is incorporated herein by reference. You can view the Standard EULA at: Apple Standard EULA. These Terms of Service incorporate Apple's Standard EULA by reference. In the event of any conflict between these Terms of Service and the Apple Standard EULA, the terms of the Apple Standard EULA shall govern.

Cancellations & Refunds: All payments, subscriptions, and transactions are processed and managed by the respective platform app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Refund requests and billing cancellations must be made directly through the platform operator under their respective terms.

4. Acceptable use

Use Knight Rise for chess. Don't use it to harass other players in local or online friend play, don't try to reverse-engineer encrypted transport, and don't redistribute the app outside the App Store or Google Play. Online friend play may route through Game Center, a linked lichess account, or a messenger you choose · their respective terms also apply when you use them.

5. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Engine evaluations are best-effort and not guarantees of chess outcomes.
